The BULLERJAHN lies in the beautiful historical centre of Göttingen in the Old Town Hall directly adjacent to the Gänseliesel fountain. Many of our guests may not realise that people have been eating, celebrating, and drinking under the town hall for the better part of 600 years. The BULLERJAHN combines modern hospitality with good German cuisine for a contemporary take on old traditions.

One thing is guaranteed at BULLERJAHN: always something delicious on your plate. Our kitchen team reinterprets German and regional classics, adding a modern twist.

Dining all day at Bullerjahn

The BULLERJAHN menu includes popular favourites such as currywurst, a vegetable and mushroom stew known as Ratsherrenpfanne, as well as seasonal dishes such as the holiday classic goose, delicious asparagus in spring, or herring.

In addition, the restaurant offers a wide range of breakfasts, cakes, pastries, and waffles from its own bakery, a wide selection of tartes flambées, homemade lemonades, and much more.

Another speciality not to be forgotten: the resplendently golden, clear Göttinger beer served at Bullerjahn. It's a sparkling pleasure, whether in a mug or a glass, along with any of our other four beers on tap.

Göttingen's city centre right outside

In summer, enjoy watching the crowds in downtown Göttingen from the restaurant's large terrace on the market square in front of the Old Town Hall. With a little luck, you might even get to see someone kiss the Gänseliesel. In winter, Göttingen's Christmas market is right outside. Make sure to get some tasty mulled wine at Bullerjahn stand.

Groups & celebrations at Bullerjahn

Are you a large group? We also have space in the BULLERJAHN for larger groups and celebrations. For smaller family celebrations and events with up to 50 people, the rustic Scharwache at the Bullerjahn is also ideal.
